The City of Hollister will no longer subsidize the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA as aldermen voted Thursday to terminate a long-standing agreement.

Under the agreement, the YMCA was to provide reduced-cost programs for Hollister residents, including youth and adult soccer, basketball, baseball and flag football, with the city providing between 20 and 25-thousand dollars annually from its 1-percent General Fund sales tax.
Linkous said termination of the agreement does not prevent the YMCA from seeking funds for specific programs and events in the future.
