The Branson Pirates put on a second half rally and fell just short of completing the comeback, as the Ozark Tigers held on for a 61-58 win at Branson High School Tuesday night.
The first half followed a pattern of many Pirate games this season, a quick start followed by an offensive drought that had the Pirates down by seven at half. Branson game back to tie it at the end of the third quarter and led a couple times in the fourth. Up one, the Pirates committed a foul then were charged with a technical with the Tigers making all four free throws. The Pirates did have a chance to tie again, but the TIgers never gave up the lead and held on for the win.
Daquan Ervin led Branson with 26 points while Korbin Evans scored 22 for Ozark.
