Webb City, Bolivar Claim COC Titles By Beating Lakes Area Teams

In recent seasons, Webb City and Bolivar have been the dominant teams when it comes to winning Central Ozark Conference Titles and they held true to form Friday night as wins over Lakes Area Teams gave the Cardinals and Liberators COC Championships. Also, the Hollister Tigers end their fourth regular season with a win.

Webb City 48 Branson 7
The Cardinals were playing without Head Coach John Roderique and for awhile, the Pirates stayed close but a quick score after a turnover in the second quarter helped the Cardinals get momentum and led to the win another COC Large School title. After Webb City scored in the second quarter to make the game 14-0, the Cardinals pounced on a Branson fumble and then scored on the next offensive play and scored one more time in the quarter to take control of the game. Trey Parra had three touchdowns for the Cardinals while the Pirates lone touchdown game in the third quarter on a 78 yard run by Isiah Daniels

Bolivar 41 Reeds Spring 6
In a match-up of unbeaten teams, the Liberators got an early special teams touchdown from Drew Leagan only to see the Wolves stay in it on a touchdown run by Anthony LeGrand, playing in his first game of the season after an injury in the preseason. The Liberators began to take control after that building their lead on the arm and legs of Rafe Peavy, who had a hand in the other five touchdowns for the Liberators while rushing for 174 yards and passing for 251 yards.

The Tigers end the regular season with their second win of the season as they pulled away to beat the Eagles. The two squads exchanged in the first half but the Tigers put the game away with three touchdowns in the third quarter. Chandler Shook scored two of his game high three touchdowns in the third quarter with Cody Ballard adding one of his two touchdowns for the game in that period. Hollister's final score came on Defense, as Tony Simonitti returned a fumble for a score in the fourth quarter.
