Week Two of the High School Football Season in Missouri coincides with the Opening Week of High School Football in Arkansas. A pair of Arkansas Schools will make their way north of the boarder to open their seasons in Missouri against ranked teams.
Green Forest at Reeds Spring
The Wolves are ranked sixth in Class 3 and open their Home Schedule against the Tigers in their annual match-up. The Wolves started the season with a 33-13 win last week at Willow Springs. Last year's meeting between the two teams went to the Wolves as they claimed a defensive contest edging the Tigers 12-3 in Green Forest. The Tigers did make the Arkansas 3A Playoff last year but lost in the First Round to Fountain Lake.
Harrison at Ozark
The Goblins take to the field for the first time tonight as they travel to Ozark to face Missouri's eighth ranked Class 5 team. While the Goblins failed to make the playoffs last year, the Tigers won the area Class 5 District Tournament which included a win over Branson and advanced to the Class 5 State Semi-finals.
Another Northern Arkansas School opening up tonight is Berryville as they play host to Marshall. Meanwhile, the two Missouri Lakes Area Schools that opened last week at home hit the road tonight.
Branson at Bolvar
The Pirates are coming off a 35-28 win over Class 3 State Ranked Cassville and now will face a Bolivar Team ranked fourth in Class 4 after a win over Neosho last week. The Pirates upset the Liberators last season winning 19-7 at Pirates Stadium. Tonight's game will be played at Southwest Baptist University.
Hollister at Mountain Grove
Coming off an impressive shutout win at Rogersville, Class 2 third ranked Mountain Grove opens at home against the Tigers, who dropped a 51-22 home decision to Class 2 sixth ranked Strafford.
