Branson Fire and Rescue’s Bow Hunter Safety Certification course begins Saturday (Sept. 7) at the fire department’s Joint Emergency Training Center at the Factory Merchants Mall Property on Gretna Road. The training runs between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In 2012 the City of Branson began allowing state licensed bow hunters to harvest deer within the City limits under certain conditions. City spokesperson Garrett Anderson says the Bow Hunter Safety Certification course is another service the fire department offers:
Six of the fire department’s personnel are certified to teach Hunter Safety Education including the Bow Hunter Safety Education. Hunters interested in taking the safety education program can register online. Click on the link below to register:

Deer hunters obtaining a permit from the City will be allowed to hunt during the archery seasons of September 15th through November 15th, 2013 and November 27th, 2013 through january 15th, 2014.
