Rep. Justus Talks About Flooding, HB 253

Missouri State Representative Jeff Justus was a guest with Scott McCaulley on At Your Service recently.

Since his first session as a member of the Missouri House, it’s been an eventful summer. Justus visited with victims and officials following the flash flooding in Hollister in early August.

Many points of view have been expressed as to what to do about flooding on Turkey Creek. When it comes to solutions, Justus says the key is to keep it simple…

The other hot topic these days is HB 253, the state income tax cut vetoed by Governor Jay Nixon. Justus says he has studied both sides of that issue, and has decided to vote to override the governor’s veto when the General Assembly convenes next week.

It is very disappointing to see him voting for our schools to lose money. Doing the right thing is more important than following the party line.
