The Southwest Missouri Office on Aging is seeking volunteers to give a few hours of their day to help deliver meals to their homebound seniors.  Director of Field Operations Chris Thompson says all 38 senior centers in 17 southwest counties of Missouri are seeking volunteers:

Thompson says most drivers leave by 10:30 and are finished by 12:30.  Thompson says volunteers must be 18-year old, own their own vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and have current auto insurance.  She says all volunteers are subject to a background check.

Thompson says if anyone needs money to offset the expense of gas, the agency is able to pay .45-cents a mile.
